Pineapple (as Indonesian calls it ‘Nanas’) is the common name for an edible tropical plant and also its fruit. It is native to the southern part of Brazil, and Paraguay. It’s also very popular in Indonesia. Pineapple is commonly used in desserts and other types of fruit dishes, or on its own. It is a good source of manganese, as well as containing significant amounts of Vitamin C and Vitamin B1. During summer, sometimes instead of drinking bottled juice, I like to make fresh juice from it. This jus nanas (pinepple juice) is very easy to make.
Preparing time: 10 minutes
– Fresh pineapple, clean it and take only the flesh
– Sugar, mixed with a little of water
– A pinch of salt
– Ice cubes, crushed
Combine pineapple flesh with other ingredients and puree in blender until smooth.
