In Indonesia, food is seldom served in individual portions. Rice and other dishes are placed on the table for people to help themselves. Most Indonesians like spicy food, so sambal is an essensial part of the daily meals. Sambal is a condiment used in Indonesia, made from a variety of peppers, although chilli peppers are the most common and sometimes it’s substituted for fresh chilli; it can be very hot for the uninitiated. There are a number of varieties which are popular in Indonesia. Here’s I share some of the recipes of accompaniments and sambals.
